Audio recordings

When your account records its audio, each session’s audio is kept with its transcript, in FLAC (lossless, about half the size of WAV). Recording is a setting of your account: ask your Gladia contact to turn it on or off.

Download it with GET /v2/live/{id}/file:

Terminal window
curl -L https://eu1.api.gladia.io/v2/live/$ID/file -H "x-gladia-key: $GLADIA_API_KEY" -o session.flac
  • The recording is ready about 40 seconds after the session ends; before that, and for sessions not recorded, the answer is 404.
  • The answer may be a redirect (302) to a signed download link: follow it (curl -L).
  • A Range header returns part of the file (206), so players can seek.
  • GET /v2/live/{id} tells whether a session was recorded: file.filename and file.source are set.

Recordings are kept for your account’s audio retention (Data retention), and deleted with their session.
