# Regions

The API is served in several regions. Each region processes and stores its sessions on its own: audio and
transcripts never leave the region of the address you call.

Your account, its API keys and its history belong to one region: use that region's addresses, shown in Gladia
Workspace.

The `region` parameter of `POST /v2/live` (`eu`, `us`) is accepted for compatibility with Gladia's cloud API. A
region the address does not serve finds no model, and the session is refused.
